So how is the weather  like, and is there a system or website that you can go and check, if there is going to be extreme weather. Italy has many alert systems for different types of disasters, but they have a website for all of Europe to check for extreme weather in there country and city that they live in. They can also watch the news for any alerts of serious storms, so they can leave the area and get to safety. The weather in Rome, Italy throughout the year ranges from 37°F to 89°F. Does not reach above 95°F nor does it fall below 28°F. The winters, like most other countries are cloudy, wet, and cold. The summers are hot, dry, and clear. The weather conditions are ideal for wheat, wines, and other corps that are used to make their delicious foods.Even though there are normal conditions, there are extreme conditions that can be very deadly. There are many floods that are caused by severe rain storms. Floods can happen in a minutes notice and can take many lives. There has been a flood in Italy that took six lives, this October. There has been heat waves in Italy that can be devastating to peoples health and their income. There has also been a thunder storm that left four dead, the best way to prevent things like this from happening or at least mitigating the effects of these hazards to watch the news, visit the alert websites, and staying in door during severe storms or weather conditions.

  1. Hi Andrew, great post. I also wrote about heat waves and how deadly they can be. I agree that the best prevention is mitigating the effects through awareness of the weather conditions in your area.

  2. Hello Andrew! My country also had a website showing all possible weather hazards, which I find useful considering the internet is a common use of communication. I found it interesting how Italy has not tried to mitigate the floods in a more useful way considering people are still getting hurt and are still causing fatalities. Great post!

  3. Hey Andrew, great post. I agree with you on how people should take action in trying to learn and understand how to properly face these sort of extreme conditions so that maximum safety can be achieved. Your options on mitigating were clever, I hope local agencies can push forward campaigns to insight people with key safety protocols.
